WIP 01) What is Down Syndrome?

Down syndrome or trisomy 21 is a chromosomal disorder caused by the presence of all or part of an extra chromosome. People with down syndrome tend to have a lower than average cognitive ability. Down syndrome is often associated with growth as well as facial appearance. They are not low in intelligence. They just lack the ability to read, write, speak, listen, spell, reason and organize information. Although some of the physical genetic limitations cannot be overcome, education and proper care will improve the quality of life.
